Our guesthouse was voted "20 Best Country Inns in Rhineland-Palatinate" by the SWR radio station. Due to its location in a typical Eifel village (Meckel won a gold medal in the 1997 competition "Our village should become more beautiful"), it offers you ideal possibilities for a holiday in the Eifel. The area around Meckel is ideal for excursions, in a short time you can explore completely different landscapes (Moselle, Saar, Bitburger Gutland, Luxembourg, Islek, Volcanic Eifel etc.). The beer town Bitburg is only 10km away, Trier 25km and the border to Luxembourg is only 10km away. Since 1 January 2005 we are a certified company under the umbrella brand EIFEL. We work even more closely than before with companies and service providers from the region to ensure that added value and purchasing power are kept in the Eifel. This begins in our kitchen with the purchase of fresh meat from Eifel animals, cheese from Eifel milk and does not end with schnapps and apple juice from Eifel orchards. You will not find Argentine steaks, Spanish ham and New Zealand lamb on the menu of our EIFEL inn. Our restaurant, which is known throughout the region, will spoil you with original Eifel dishes and international specialities, which of course are also prepared with Eifel ingredients.
