From Hütterscheid, this 22.6 km circular trail leads past Rußdorf, Baustert, Feilsdorf and Weidingen. This route is ideal for a day tour. Parking is available at the starting point in the main road (barbecue hut).
The trail leads through the forest, over Weisen and through the surrounding villages. Behind Feilsdorf, the hiking trail descends to the Echtersbach valley, where you can walk through the picturesque valley along the Echtersbach stream to Neumühle. After a slight ascent, you can see the Weidingen pilgrimage church. Over the heights of Hütterscheid, where the 50th parallel of north latitude is crossed, you return to Hütterscheid, passing the St. Anna and Bernhard Chapel (built in 1927).
