Like a red ribbon, the Eifel red sandstone runs along the entire hike - through deeply cut valleys and over gentle plateaus. Sometimes the sandstone rocks present themselves in mighty beauty - sometimes the traces of the former quarries can be recognized as evidence of the traditional natural stone mining. Over long stretches of the highlands they are overgrown by an enchanting nature. The hiking trails wind through deciduous forests and past fields, meadows, hedges and fruit trees.
This gorgeous and varied hiking tour provides the backdrop for a shared rendezvous with nature. The leisurely ascent will make your pulse beat faster not only because of the meters of altitude covered, but also because of the enchanting impressions. At the duck pond you can relax together and enjoy the togetherness. In the middle of the forest you will find a rest and fireplace for a crackling time-out in seclusion. On the way you will discover mystical overgrown relics of the former mining sites. Always accompanied by the chirping of birds and the babbling of river and streams.
