Monday Night Jazzkonzert
Dec 8, 2025
Bitburg
KAMA Kollektiv is a lively, quirky band from Amsterdam whose music eclectically combines influences from Nordic jazz, folk and indie pop.
The band's songs tell sometimes whimsical, sometimes banal stories about the small pleasures of everyday life and mystical nature. They are always full of energy and with a wink. In her theatrical style, charismatic front woman Kirsi-Marja "Kiki" Harju enchants the audience with her eccentric singing and lyrical trumpet playing. The band's latest album, "As if I lived a different life", transports listeners into a fantasy world in which plastic trees form hiding places for dragons and dreams blur with reality until you are no longer sure which life you are actually leading. Above all, however, it encourages you to ask yourself what is really essential and how you can remain unapologetically true to yourself.
With the albums "KOTI" (Eclipse Music, 2019) and "TOIVO" (BERTHOLD Records, 2021), the band has already toured clubs and festivals across Germany, the Netherlands, France and Finland. The third album "As If I Lived a Different Life" was released on May 10 on the Dutch label Sonna Records and was presented live on a release tour with 15 concerts in the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland. KAMA Kollektiv are Kirsi-Marja Harju - trumpet, vocals, Ida Alanen - piano, Jonathan Nagel - double bass and Joe Korach - drums
The Monday-Night Jazz will take place on Monday, 8. 12. 2025, starting at 8 pm in the Jazz-Ballroom in the Bowling-Center Bitburg, Charles-Lindbergh-Allee 5. admission free.
