We drive through the town of Prüm, where Emperor Lothar is buried in the basilica and where the relic of Jesus' sandal is located. Guided tour possible. Cross-border onward journey to the German/Belgian hedge country (house-high windbreak hedges and field hedges). Possible walk over wooden footbridges in the high moor. Opportunity for lunch

Afternoon: In the afternoon we visit the half-timbered town of Monschau, one of the most beautiful medieval towns on the Rur.
